Bill Ridding
Ridding managed Bolton Wanderers FC for a spell of 17 years which spanned between 1951 and 1968. He helped the Trotters win the FA Cup in the year 1958 and managed them while the club were in the first and then second division. He previously managed Tranmere Rovers for twenty matches; however his period in charge was interrupted by World War Two.

Colin Todd
After spending few years as assistant manager to Roy McFarland at Derby County, Todd was installed as the new manager of Bolton in the year 1996. He helped the Trotters win promotion back in to the premiership as Bolton gained automatic promotion at the end of the 1996 -1997 league season. Todd spent four years in charge at Bolton and he brought in some big name signings including Dean Holdsworth and Robbie Elliot. He then went on to manage Swindon Town and was in charge of Derby County for few months during the 2001 -2002 season. He was installed as the new manager of Bradford City in the year 2004.

Sam Allardyce

Allardyce started his managerial career in charge of Limerick in the league of Ireland. In the summer of 1994, he was installed as the new man in charge of Blackpool and spent two years with the club. In the year 1997, he was named as the new manager of Notts County and helped the club gain promotion at the end of the 1997-98 season as they finished top of their division.
He was installed as the new man in charge of Bolton Wanderers for the 1999 – 2000 season and took the club to the semi finals of the FA Cup and to the Play offs. He guided Bolton to promotion in to the premiership as Bolton won the 2000 – 01 play off final, defeating Preston North End 3-0. He has now established Bolton as a force in the premiership and helped the club enter Europe and reach the league cup final of 2004. He is now regarded as one of the finest managers to have ever managed in English football.

Charles Foweraker
Foweraker was the man in charge at Bolton Wanderers FC between 1919 and 1944, a staggering 25 year period. During his wonderful time in charge at the club, he helped the Trotters win three FA Cup finals in the years 1923, 1925 and 1929. No other man has managed Bolton as long as Foweraker did for the club. He also helped Bolton stay a top flight side throughout his time in charge.

Phil Neal
After a very successful playing career starring for England on 50 occasions, Phil Neal was installed as the new manager of Bolton Wanderers in 1985, also playing for the club at the same time. He spent seven years in charge at Bolton and helped the club gain promotion during his long spell in charge. In 1992, he left Bolton to become Graham Taylor’s right hand man in charge of the England national team. After two years working for England, Phil Neal managed various clubs including, Coventry City, Cardiff City and Manchester City.

Ian Greaves
Greaves was installed as assistant manager of Bolton in 1974, being the assistant to Jimmy Armfield at the club. He was soon appointed as manager when Armfield was installed as the manager at Leeds. He guided Bolton to promotion and into the semi finals of the League cup while they were in the second division. After six years in charge of the club, he left the post in 1980 and later on went onto manage Oxford United and Wolves. He also spent six years in charge of Mansfield Town.
