Chris Fairclough

Farclough started his career off playing for Nottingham Forest in the 1982-93 season at the first division. He spent over four years at the club and made over 115 appearances for the outfit. He signed for Tottenham in the 1987-88 season and spent two years with the club before moving to Leeds United in the 1989-90 season. He was very much a key part of the Leeds team that won the league title at the end of the 1991-92 season, making some outstanding defensive displays. He joined recently promoted, Bolton Wanderers at the start of the 1995-96 season, after relegation back down to the first division at the end of the season he stayed at the club and played every match of the 1996-97 season and his great play earned the club automatic promotion back in to the top flight.

Gudni Bergsson

Bergsson is arguably one of the greatest Icelandic football player to play in English football during the 20th century. He made his debut for Tottenham Hotspur during the 1988-89 season and soon became a permanent fixture in the starting line up, helping Spurs finish the 89-90 season off in third place and helping the North London side win the 1991 FA Cup. Gudni Bergsson moved on to play for Bolton during the 1994-1995 season and soon became a favourite with the Bolton fans. His outstanding defensive display helped Bolton win promotion at the end of the 1996-97 season in to the premiership.

Alan Thompson

Thompson started his football career off during the 1991-92 season starring for Newcastle United. He made few appearances for the club before moving on to play for Bolton Wanderers at the start of the 1993-94 season. He instantly earned a regular position in the Bolton starting line up and helped the club earn promotion in to the premiership for the 1995-96 season and the 1997-98 season. He was part of the Bolton side that appeared in the 1995 League cup final.

Per Frandsen

Frandsen was born in Copenhagen of Denmark and made his debut for Lille during the 1990-91 season. He signed for his home club, FC Copenhagen at the start of the 1994-95 season and was outstanding in his midfield role for the club. His great play in the Danish league earned the player a move to Bolton at the start of the 1996-1997 season and he made an immediate impression at the club, becoming a fans favourite with his determined football play. He helped Bolton gain promotion in to the premiership during the 1996-97 season.
