Claus Jensen

Jensen started his career playing football in his native country, Denmark. Playing for Lyngby FC between 1996 and 1998. He moved to Bolton in 1998 and instantly became a regular starter at Bolton in his midfield position. He went on to make over 120 appearances for Wanderers and was a firm favourite with the Bolton fans. He moved to Charlton Athletic towards the end of 2000 and spent four years with the addicks, making over 150 appearances for the club. He appeared for Denmark in the 2002 world cup and Euro 2004. In the summer of 2004, he signed for Fulham for £1.25 million.

Eidur Gudjohnsen

Gudjohnsen started his successful career playing in Holland for PSV Eindhoven. He later on played in his native home country, Iceland for KR Reykjavik. After a really successful spell at the club he signed for Bolton wanderers in the summer of 1998 and became an instant success with Bolton. He was prolific in front of goal during the 1999-2000 season as he scored 21 goals during that campaign, also helping Bolton reach the semi finals of the League cup and FA Cup. His great play earned him a move to Chelsea in the summer of 2000 for £4 million and was outstanding during the 2001-2002 season, scoring 23 goals. He went on to spend six years with Chelsea, making over 280 appearances for the club and scoring 90 goals. In the summer of 2006 he signed for Barcelona FC of Spain. He has now made over 40 appearances for Iceland.

Michael Ricketts

Ricketts commenced his football career playing for Walsall in the year 1996, making 90 league appearances for the club. In the summer of 2000, Ricketts signed for Bolton Wanderers FC for £500,000 and was an instant phenomenon in front of goal scoring a staggering 24 goals in Bolton’s promotion winning campaign of 2000- 2001. He was prolific in front of goal during his first season with Bolton in the premiership and made his debut for England in February 2002 in a match against Holland. In January 2003, Ricketts signed for Middlesbrough for £3.5 million, winning the league cup with Boro during the 2003-2004 season. He later on enjoyed short spells playing for Leeds United, Stoke City, Burnley, Cardiff City and is now currently playing with Southend United.

Bruno N’Gotty

N’Gotty started his career off at Olympique Lyonnais during the 1988-1989 football season and went on to spend seven years with the French club, making over 230 appearances for them. He played for Paris St Germaine between 1995 and 1998 before playing for AC Milan of Italy. He went on to play in the English football league, signing for Bolton Wanderers towards the start of the 2001-2002 season. He made his debut for Bolton in September 2001 in an encounter against Blackburn. He soon went on to become a permanent fixture in the Bolton starting line up and was voted as the supporter’s player of the year during the 2004-2005 season. After five years playing for Bolton, he signed for Birmingham City in the summer of 2006.
